I enjoyed the book and now I have to wait until the next series comes out...I don't like that. I loved the strength of Valerie. Dominic is a true alpha strong and no nonsense...a determined guy. I truly enjoyed reading this book! "D" and Valerie's relationship was hot, sexy and dangerous on many levels! D and Antonio's family history gives a dark and mysterious edge to the story. D and Valerie's relationship is steamy, sexy and a little primal. I also wanted to see if Antonio and the chef Olivia was going to finally hook-up as well. D and Antonio's father being "The Don" mAfia leader and not nice guy, really had me on edge, not knowing when he was going to "make a call"!
Could have been a higher score if not for the double wordings in the novel. She was supposed to be a "bw" but then she's described as going from dark hair to blonde hair to blonde streaks. And what black woman you know have pink nipples. This is just one of the "flubs" If the next installment is like this I'm not sure I'd be interested
I actually liked the book but one glaring thing that really kind of bugged as I read, the character Valerie...there were times that clearly editing out she was white with blonde hair in the original version of this story was missed. I read stories with female leads off all colors and love my white sisters, but it was a little off putting to read about a "black woman" with blonde hair, pink blushing cheeks and pink nipples? Just made me laugh and also made me disconnect here and there from the character. Please do better next time. Would have given more stars but for that, and I am usually not one that's easily bothered by typos etc., but they were just so glaringly in your face errors.
Ok, a lot of things were off to me. I signed up for a BWWM story, and I'm not sure they author knew what that meant. Sometimes it read as such, other times (like the pink nipple comment) not so much. It also isn't stated that this is a cliffhanger. I hate getting to the end of a book, only to have to wait for or find the next book. Not sure I would read this author again. It's hard to find BWWM books that don't start with her getting pregnant and him not knowing. I had hi hopes for this story too. Insert sad face
I love it. Where is book 2. I totally need the author release it. Can't wait anymore!!

This book was fair. Not very interesting, but it had some good parts added. Maybe the next book will be much more exciting to read.
